Hi, this is Ylvaana
I am the creator of this place, nice to cross paths with you 😊
I am a 26 yr old self-identified wild woman and young creator beginning to live my best life. Currently in the process of learning the rhythm of my own creative flow so I can actualize all of the crAZY wild things I intend to do in this one lifetime through different artistic mediums and not go MAD.
I am presently working as a freelance counselling psychologist (and more recently, also a tarot reader) to support my creative endeavors.
P.S. the name ~Ylvaana~ is something I came up with and have made my own. It has deep meaning, and is made up from my original name.
I like to make art. Music is god. All my playlists are in my head. I love moving the body. Dancing is my most favorite thing in the world. Working out is therapy. I like to dabble in poetry & romanticizing the hEcK out of my life.
I LOVE fiction, in all its forms, and have a special place in my heart for the fantasy genre (hence its own shiny category on my blog). I believe stories are pathways into the soul. Storytelling is magic.
I like to believe that I can live an enchanted life, brimming with old fairy-tale innocence, childlike wonder, communing with nature spirits in the backyard, talking to the fae, following the trail of will-o’-wisps leading to that ancient place of remembering in my wildwood bones.
Why I started this blog
I created this because I have always had a deep reverence for the Feminine, especially in her wild aspects. This is a place for celebrating womanhood, restoring instinct, and grounding & maturing of self through deep-in-the-bones ancestral female wisdom.
I’ve also got videos and social media posts in the works. The website will act as kind of the center piece for my wildish endeavors. The grand holding fort, if you will.
All of this is for the purpose of fully immersing myself in the sacred mysteries of the old old ancient feminine, reconnecting with primal & intuitive female nature, and exploring the deep nourishing healing waters of my inner soul life, while inspiring women who find resonance with my work to do the same for themselves.
This is an offering.. an act of love, for the wild and sacred within me, and everything divine and sacred within you.
The name of this website is an homage to Clarissa Pinkola Estes’ Women who Run with the Wolves, a book that was so resonant with my soul that it single-handedly initiated me into my womanhood, and connected me back to the wild in me, that I had so longed for.
I had originally come up with ‘Woman RUN Wild’, but was later hit with inspiration for the new name. When I say Woman Love Wild, I mean “Woman, LOVE WILDLY.” As in, “Woman, anything you do, do it FREELY with all of your heart. Pour love into all of it, dance wild, sing your heart out, cry out your poetry, let the pen drip lush words onto the paper, make love to your life and let it be be sweet and deep and filling.”
